DJ RITU

A key-figure in the British Asian music scene for over a decade as a DJ, radio presenter and a music presenter for TV, DJ Ritu co-founded the label Outcaste Records in 1994, and more recently formed the live music project, Sister India, centered around Asian women musicians and performers. She is one of very few female Asian DJs and is in constant demand, not only with her innovative live music project, but also as a DJ who has played alongside Talvin Singh, Natacha Atlas, Asian Dub Foundation, Nitin Sawahney, Fun Da Mental, Transglobal Underground, Zakir Hussain amongst others.
